Gringotts

Gringotts is the bank of the wizards in the world of Harry Potter. Bill Weasley, a brother of Ron works within this bank, in an Egyptienne branch. It is in the 1e Tome (Harry Potter at the school of the wizards) that Harry, in company of Hagrid, discovers for the first time this bank which is located on the Short cut in London. It is directed by Gobelin S and is famous to be a very sure place (very as much as the school Poudlard one says). In this 1e Tome, Harry discovers that it has an important amount of money, bequeathed with died of his/her parents. Later he will discover that it is this bank - in its safes considered inviolable - which was hidden in the trunk number 713 the Philosopher's stone. He finds there well later, in the safe deposit of Lestrange, the cut of Helga Poufsouffle, which proves to be Horcruxe.

Inside the bank, on a silver main door, these words are engraved:

“Between here foreign if such is your désir
But the lure of gain, gives up obeying,
Because that which wants to take and does not want to gain,
Of its cupidity, the price will owe payer.
If you want to seize, in this underground place,
Of a coveted treasure which never was not tien,
Robber you will find, as a richness,
The right punishment of your insane boldness. ”

It should be known that there exist various currencies in harry potter: galleons (out of gold) mornilles (out of moneys) and noises (out of bronze) 1 galleons is equal has 24 mornilles 1 mornilles is equal has 12 noises

Under the depths of the ground, where the safe deposits of most former families of wizard are the, there is a dragon who protects these rooms, only the noise of the tintamards makes it possible to pass without being made kill.
