Grimmy

Presentation

Grimmy is a humorous Comic strip created by American Mike Peters in 1985. Today, it is published in more than 800 newspapers, among which the New York Daily News, Washington Post and Los Angeles Herald Examiner.

The history is a succession of gags turning around a large yellow dog, named Grimmy.

Characters

  • Grimmy is a Bull Terrier, race known for its incapacity to obey the orders. Grimmy is an anti-hero with yellow peeling, salts, vulgar and lying. Its favorite activities? To run after the factor, to drink the water of the toilets, to devour what there is in the dustbins or martyriser its entourage. One can regard it as the Garfield dogs (but in more sadistic and cynical!)

  • Attila is a timorous purple kitten which spends its days to sleep in balls. It is the principal scapegoat of Grimmy.

  • Sumo is an enormous purple cat very simpleton.

  • Jambon is a pink goret which goes on its legs of behind and raises a splendid node papipllon blue and yellow. It is not very malignant and has a serious problem of pronunciation.

  • Mère the Goose is the owner of all these animals previously quoted… in short, it has much job with them and must be armed with patience.
