Grid system of the Capital

The Grid system of the Capital ( STN ) is the shipping company in the bus of the town of Quebec. The STN was created in 1969 under the name of Commission of transport of the Urban community of Quebec (CTCUQ), then famous Société (STCUQ) in 1994. The STN bears its current name only since 2002. Indeed, following the Québécois municipal Reorganizations, the Shipping company of the Urban community of Quebec (STCUQ) was famous Shipping company of Quebec, then Grid system of the Capital. It transport 43 million passengers with the annual increase of 6%, largest in Canada.

History

The STN was created in 1969 with the adoption of the Law creating the Commission of transport of the Urban community of Quebec (CTCUQ).

Services

The STN proposes basic courses (numbers 1 to 93) which serve the various districts of the city. The Express courses connect various districts of Quebec with the two principal branches of industry of the city, that is to say the districts of the Holy-Foy City and --Sillery. Finally, two Métrobus courses connect high frequency and without correspondence the principal sectors of the city (Holy-Foy--Sillery, Charlesbourg and Beauport) while circulating exclusively on principal road axes. Métrobus have a frequency of variable passage between 5 and 15 minutes according to the hour and the day. On the common section of both Métrobus, the frequency varies from 2 to 7-8 minutes.

the Park-O-Bus : parking areas where the motorists can park their vehicle for then taking free the bus in the vicinity;
the Transport adapted of Quebec subway (TAQM): allows the handicapped people to move;
the Taxi-bus : service of taxis on call to go to the bus stop nearest for the sections of the city more distant and not served by regular transport.

With the purchase of a monthly pass, one was entitled to 2 $ of reduction to each one of our visits to the cinemas of the company Cinéplex Odeon. This promotion is not in force any more.
Of the reductions is granted with the sporting life with the student pass.
