A grid is the space discretization of a continuous medium, or also, a geometrical modeling of a finished and well defined field by proportioned elements. The Calcul is launched after checking of the parameters to respect model finite elements. And also, position of the Boundary conditions, to approach the situation of loading or request of a realistic case, from where the name approximate method.

The maillor is the computer software or precisely code which makes it possible to discretize surface in several subelements: to create the grid.
