Gressoney-The-Trinity
Gressoney-The-Trinity is a common alpine Val of Aoste in Italy of North. The name of the commune in the local patois is Greschoney (or Creschnau ) Drifaltigkeit .
Geography
Gressoney-The-trinity is at the end of the valley of the Lily, opposite the Mount-Rose.The name of " Mount-Rose" , against any appearance the color of the snow of this mountain does not indicate, of as much less the color which it takes when the last rays of the sun light it the evening, as it is for Dolomites of Venezia. The name comes from the patois rouésa , which means ice (of Latin rosia ).

With Gressoney-The-Trinity, one speaks a patois of Germanic origin, similar to the patois of Zermatt (canton of Were worth, Suisse), the titsch . It is the same patois which one also meets with Gressoney-Saint-Jean, the commune bordering. The two communes, with those of Issime and Gaby constitute the Walsergemeinschaft Oberlystal (community walser of the high valley of the Lily), and belong to the Community of mountain Mount-Rose - walser .
