Gregor Townsend
Gregor Peter John Townsend , born the April 26th 1973 with Edinburgh (Scotland) is a player of Rugby to XV Scottish which played with the team of Scotland of 1992 with 2003, evolving/moving of half of opening or three quarter centers. He is currently trainer-player of the Border Reivers.
Biography
Career in national team
He had his first international cape the December 19th 1992 against the team of Italy and disputed its first test match against the team of England in March 1993.Townsend disputed his last test match the November 8th, 2003 against the team of Australia.
He took part in the Five Nations tournament of 1993 to 2003.
Townsend took part in the World cup of Rugby 1999 (5 played matches, beaten in quarterfinal) and 2003 (5 played matches, beaten in quarterfinal). He was 2 times captain of the team of Scotland in 1996.
He played with the British Lions in 1997 at the time of a round in South Africa.

After having played in England (Northampton), in France (Brive, Castres and Montpellier), in Scotland (The Borders) and in the Super 12 (Sharks), it is turned over to Scotland as player and trainer of the Border Reivers which play in Celtic Ligue and in European Challenge.
