Gregoire V of Constantinople

Gregoire V (in Greek Γρηγόριος Ε' , dead hung in 1821) was patriarch of Constantinople of 1797 to 1798, then of 1806 to 1808, finally of 1818 to 1821.

Saint and martyr, hung the Easter Day 1821, with the principal door of the patriarchate in reprisals against the Greek rising begun on March 25th, 1821.
