Greg Noll
Greg Noll (February 11th 1937 with San Diego, California -) so known under its nickname " Bull" is one of the pioneers of the Surf.
Young man malingre, being often made chahuter at the school, it discovers surfing with Manhattan Beach. Attracted by the lifestyle of the surfers Greg Noll belongs to the first great migration the Californian ones, attracted by the waves of Makaha, towards Hawaii.
It is from now on a very muscular man, with the ox neck, which is worth its nickname of " to him; Bull" , in addition to its recognizable style between all. But Makah is not enough for him any more, it decides to explore the North Shore and discovers the " spot" of Waimea Bay. It also opened a store of surfing to its name.
But there will remain forever engraved like the man having surfé the largest vagueness of the 20th century, the December 4th 1969. It is one day of storm on the Northern Pacific and after some tergiversations, it decides to launch out to Makaha and surfe the largest wave ever reached while rowing.
At the end of the years 1970 it closes its store and opens an industrial fish shop. But with the return of the longboards, it finds an activity of shaper of surfing.
