Greg Maddux
Gregory Alan Maddux (born the April 14th 1966 in San Angelo, Texas) is an American player of baseball. It makes party of the launchers having gained at least 300 parts.
Career in major League
Its career starts in 1986 with the Cubs of Chicago where it gains only 8 parts and loses 18 of them during its first two seasons. In 1988, it gains 18 parts and loses only 8 of them. In seven seasons with Cubs, it gains 115 parts and loses 75 of them. In 1992, it gains the Trophée Cy Young, with 20 victories and 199 withdrawals on the catches.
In 1993, it signs a free contract of agent with the Braves of Atlanta. At the time of its first three seasons, it gains three times the trophy Cy Young, gaining 45 parts and by losing 18. In 1995, it gains 19 parts, loses two and leads the Brave men of them to the world Série where they beat the Indians of Cleveland 4 matches with 2.
In 2004, Maddux returns in Cubs. It records there its 300e victory in career. The July 31st 2006, it is transferred to the Dodgers from Los Angeles with which it gains 6 parts and loses 3 of them.
After the end of the season, it receives its 16th Gant gilded, equalizing the records of Jim Kaat (launcher) and Brooks Robinson (player of third goal).
2007
The December 5th 2006, it signs a one year old contract with the Padres de San Diego for the season 2007.
In 2007 it gained 11 parts for 9 lost, with an average of deserved points of 3,75. The August 24th it recorded a victory against the 14 points with 3. This victory was its 343e victory in career, exceeding the total of Tim Keefe which had 342 victories during the 19th century. With the stick Maddux has an average of 0,148 with two doubles of two counted points. It also stole a goal, the 5th season of at a stretch which it recorded a stolen goal (10 stolen goals for 3 withdrawals in career). At the end of the season it received its 17th gilded glove, establishing a new record for the greatest number of gained gloves.
