Greg Bear is a American novelist of Science-fiction , born with San Diego (California) the August 20th 1951.

Biography

Born in 1951, Gregory Dale Bear very early starts to hardly write, since he proposes his first texts in 1964, at the 13 years age. At that time, it follows his father who is useful in the US Navy and travels to the Japan, to the Filipino and in Alaska. Its first news Destroyers , is published in 1967 in a magazine. On this occasion, he cheating on his age and claims to be major to be able to be published. In 1968, it turns over in California to the Université of San Diego from where it leaves graduate in 1973. It has two children, a Eric son born in 1986 and a girl, Alexandra, born in 1990.

Works

Most of the work of Bear relates to the science fiction (it is often classified as author of hardware-science ). However, two of its news The Infinity Concerto and The Serpent Magus (which was published together under the name of Songs off Earth and Power ) are clearly of the Fantasy. Psychlone , when with him, is a novel of horror.
