Green party (Bulgaria)

the green Party - in Bulgarian: bg Зелена Pартия , is zelena partiya - is a Political party of Bulgaria.
Founded on December 28th, 1989 with Sofia, the party has as a principal leader Aleksandar Karakatchanov.
The party belonged or belongs to the following coalitions:
- legislative elections of 1990: coalition carried out by the SDS (Union of the democratic forces),
- legislative elections of 1991: coalition carried out by the SDS and the liberals,
- legislative elections of 1994: coalition DAR (Alternate democratic for the Republic), including the green Party, the Bulgarian social democrat Party, the Party of the social-liberal alternative (ASLP) and the Civil union for the Republic,
- legislative elections of 1997: coalition ONS (Union for the national aslut), including the green Party and various other formations,
- legislative elections of 2001: Coalition for Bulgaria, at the sides of the Bulgarian Socialist party and other formations,
- legislative elections of 2005: Coalition for Bulgaria, at the sides of the Bulgarian Socialist party and other formations.
Although the coalition gained 82 seats with the elections of 2005, the green Party does not have any deputy at the Parliament. It lays out however, since September 7th, 2005, in the government of Serguei Stanichev, of a representative: Dimitar Bongalov, vice-minister of Justice.
For the European elections of May 20th, 2007 (which result from the official accession of Bulgaria to the European Union, the previous on January 1st), the green Party chose to arise on an autonomous list.
