Biography
Origins
Inspired of Robin of Wood, Green Arrow is deprived of super-capacities; it has just an extraordinary address with the arc, its weapon of predilection, with which it often draws from the special arrows, such as famous the arrow-glove of boxing, or the arrow-boomerang. It is vêtu of a green costume which knew several variations. In the beginning, Oliver Queen was only one rich person playboy until his shipwreck on Starfish Island where it had to learn how to survive by developing his skill in the arc. It operates since in the town of City Star.
He was the lover of heroin Black Canary (Dinah Lance) and taken under his wing the young person Roy Harper who followed it in his adventures under the name of Speedy, before taking his independence under the name of Arsenal. He is also a regular member of JLA. He appears for this reason in the cartoon which is devoted to them.
For a long time, it was treated like under-Batman, with a Arrow-cellar, Arrow-plane,… In the Sixties, Denny O' Neil and Neal Adams revolutionized the character by relookant it and by associating it with Green Lantern in stories closer to the contemporary problems (with the number of which episodes in which one discovered that Speedy took drugs), which made of Green Arrow a character protestor.
After its death in the #100 of its series it was replaced by his son Connor Hawke.
Resurrection
In April 2001, the realizer Kevin Smith ressuscita the character in volume 2 of the series with the assistance of the draftsman Phil Hester.
