Integrated since 1973 in the new city of Sénart.
Green-Saint-Denis is made up of the city itself and two hamlets: Pouilly the Fort and Small Jard.
This city is typical demographic trends of the large Parisian crown during these 30 last years. Being still an agricultural small village with beginning of the year 60, it consequently will profit from the immediate proximity of Cesson and its station. Suburban zones start to hatch at various places of the commune (street of the Ewe, Grand Village). The phenomenon considerably will accelerate as from 1975, Green-Saint-Denis profiting from his integration in the new city of Melun-Sénart. Whole districts leave ground (Hillocks in Fêves and of Luet during years 75-80, then Vallée of Bailly during the Eighties and finally Ramonerie with beginning of the year 90). Of 2.500 inhabitants in 1968, the common master key with nearly 7.500 in the middle of the Nineties.
However on this date, the urbanization will mark time with the profit of zones of activities. The zone of the Cellar, established long time along N6, was increased in a spectacular way for Paris from 1994-1995, date on which A5 coming from Paris and of the Francilienne arrived at Green-Saint-Denis. The automobile dealers trustèrent the accesses of main road 6, leaving the remainder of the zone to the small industrialists and the hotels. In 1999, Norbert Dentressangle installs an important logistic base in this zone, becoming the first employer of the commune.
A news gives risk to be born with Green-Saint-Denis who did not know great programs since the beginning of the Nineties. Already a new district left ground in 2001 to the Saint-Pierre Cross, adding a hundred inhabitants to the commune. The request being for more into strong in this area, a new district should be born as from 2005 on the Plain of the Windmill, divided with Cesson. This program is the first since nearly 15 years on the commune and should make carry in the medium term the population of Green-Saint-Denis to more than 9.000 inhabitants.
