Greater London Authority

The Greater London Authority (shortened in GLA) is the administration in load of the management of the Large London, one of the 9 English areas.

The authority is made up of a mayor elected with the universal direct suffrage, currently Ken Livingstone, and of a council, called London Assembly , composed of 25 members, elected for 4 years thanks to a mixed poll: 14 members of the assembly are elected by the uninominal vote in districts, and 11 are elected with the list system, at the regional level.
