Great project of urban renewal
The great project of urban renewal or GPRU is a Opération of urban renewal (ORU) led to Paris. This operation was launched by the inter-ministerial committee of the cities (CIV) of October 1st, 2001.
The GPRU concerns the Politique of the city. It aims at requalifying and with better integrating in the city of the peripheral districts, characterized by a higher unemployment rate and incomes weaker than the remainder of the city. It acts in several fields:
- improvement of the habitat and the urban framework
- creation of public equipment and services to the inhabitants
- economic development

- Door of Montreuil, the Tower of the Pine (XX {{E}})
- Door of Vincennes (XX {{E}})
- Door of the Lilacs (XX {{E}})
- North-eastern Paris Sector (XVIII {{E}} and XIX {{E}})
