Great nettle

The great nettle ( Urtica dioica L.) is a Ortie of eurasiatic origin which is present today in the whole world. It is a long-lived herbaceous plant of the family of the Urticaceae. She is initially known for itchings which she causes. It is a Plante rudérale, it appreciates the grounds rich in Azote.

Description

It is a herbaceous hardy perennial from 60 to 150 cm height forming of the colonies, with the drawn up stems, not ramified, covered with irritant hairs. The sheets dark green, opposed, are bordered of serrations. The flowers tiny and are joined together in bunches, males and females on different feet. The female bunches are falling, the drawn up male bunches.
