Great crusade
The Grande Crusade is one historical period in the Univers of fiction of Warhammer 40,000, and is held end of the 30ème to the 31ème thousand-year-old. The Empereur of Humanity wanted to gather the man power under a plain banner and to put an end to the fights inter human. That was to be the first part of its Great Plan.
At the end of the Era of the Fights, and the disappearance of the storms Warp (which empéchaient any space flight), the Emperor began his plans for the conquest of the galaxy.
Its first obstacle was the Empire of Technoprêtes de Mars, which was historically independent of the Earth. Instead of a war, the Emperor preferred to be combined with them, thanks to the support of his Space Marines, even if it had dédaint for their religion (the God-machine) and their cybernetism. The Emperor needed the forging mills of Mars for his crusade. With dimensions one of the technoprêtres, the Emperor is recognized like Omnissiah of the worship Mechanicus, a legend.
The extantion was slow at the beginning. The primary goal of the Emperor was to find his Primarques, stray on many worlds.
First Primarque, Horus, were found in the system of Cthonian, the fact that it is only found created a single bond between the Emperor and his wire .
Thirty years later, another Primarque was found, but Horus remained the preferred son of the Emperor.
All Primarques found, the creation of Space Marines was accelerated thanks to genes of the latter. Each one accepted the command of a legion in less than one year. This speed of creation was in the beginning many changes and mental problems.
The Emperor, surrounded by his legions launched out then in the crusade and thus made grow the Imperium.
After two centuries of war, the Emperor turned over on Terra (Earth) and entrusted the load of the Crusade to the Maître of War Horus. The Great Crusade brutally ended with the Hérésie of Horus.
