Great Mazinger

Great Mazinger is a Japanese series of Manga, adapted in Anime, and conceived by Go Nagai. It is the immediate continuation of Mazinger Z. Animates, cash 56 episodes, was diffused in Japan in 1974. If the series obtained less success than Mazinger Z, she is not regarded of it as traditional of the kind.

History

Tetsuya Tsurugi is an orphan raised by professor Kenzo Kabuto (father of Koji Kabuto, the hero of Mazinger Z), which was done itself to pass for dead in order to better preparing the defense of the ground against invasions. The father of professor Kenzo Kabuto had developed the giant robot Mazinger Z, his son creates Great Mazinger, a version even more powerful of the same robot and involves Tetsuya to control it. Become adult, Tetsuya is ready to face the threat of the empire of Mykene, a race of humanoïdes come from the center of the ground. Mazinger Z being exceeded by these new invaders, Great Mazinger arrives in time to save it.

Koji having left to supplement its studies with NASA, Tetsuya is found with the outpost to fight against the empire of Mykene and its regular attacks of giant mechanical monsters.

Transition with UFO robot Grendizer (Goldorak)

Koji and Mazinger Z return in the last episodes to lend hand-strong to Great Mazinger against the forces of the evil. After having overcome the empire of Mykene and before leaving for the research laboratory space professor Umon (Procyon), Koji as Tetsuya place Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger in a museum and swear to make use of it never again.

Diffusion

Diffused in Italy and in many Western countries, the series remained new in France.
