Great Canadian Ballets

the Great Canadian Ballets is a Canadian company of Ballet established with Montreal, Quebec.

Founded in 1957 by Ludmilla Chiriaeff under the name of the Ballets Chiriaeff , the troop becomes the Great Canadian Ballets the following year in 1958. Its artistic director is Gradimir Pankov since 2000 and Genevieve Guérard was a first dancer of 1999 to 2006. Anik Bissonnette was first dancer of 1990 to 2007. Catherine Lafortune, dancer soloist of 1979 to 1995, danced the role of Myrtha when the principal dancer of the national Opéra of Paris, Elisabeth Platel danced the role of Gisele.
