Great Blue is one of largest the private yachts of luxury in the world with a 113 meters length. In 2007 they is classified 12th larger yacht of the world. It was built with the shipyards Vulkan in Germany and was launched in 2000. It was initially the property of an American business man who resold it with the Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich in 2002. This last made it transform with the building sites HDW with Kiel with an interior refitting and the addition of a platform to swim of 5 meters (in the beginning Great Blue measured 106.39 meters).

Great Blue is propelled by 2 engines Wärtsilä of 3.600 horses. The details on interior installation are known little, Abramovich remaining very secret on what touches with its private life and surrounding it of many safety but they were conceived by Terence Disdale. Moreover the yacht has ecological equipment like a system of treatment of waste water. The crew is made of 65 people. Great Blue has also a high-speed motorboat and a helicopter.

In June 2006, Abramovich resold Great Blue with another Russian billionaire Eugene Shvidler.
