Graviton (comics)

Graviton is super-unpleasant created by Marvel Comics, appeared for the first time in Avengers #158 , in 1977.

Enemy created at the base for the Fantastic Four, it became it for the Vengeurs and the Thunderbolts.

Origin

The scientist Franklin Hall made experiments on teleportation in Canada when it was taken in an explosion which bound its molecules to particles of Graviton generated by a particle accelerator. While curing, he discovered his immense capacity.

He called Graviton and took the employees of his laboratory as an hostage. He crushed the Vengeurs easily and moved the building above NYC. There, it was attacked by Thor and Iron Man. At the end, Hall was found trapped in the building which collapsed on itself.

Disorientated, it left there later and a partner sought itself. It took a famous store as an hostage. Its plan failed and it was exiled in space by Thor. But it returned on Earth following a space anomaly.

Building a base close to Los Angeles, he wanted to be established as caid but was stopped by the Vengeurs of the West coast. He was placed under sedative to remain without capacity.

Hall wanted to be avenged later, but the Vision invests its body and increased its density, which caused to make break down its body on itself.

It was found then in another dimension, where the inhabitants, P' Tah, took it for a god. It lived some time there, before being bored of their limited intellect. It builds a kind of beacon, in the hope that somebody can find it.

After months of waiting, Techno located it. Its chief, the Baron Zemo, made build a robot-like Hulk which it sent to face the Thunderbolt. This robot was useful in fact to trap enough energy to open a breach between dimensions. Hall, not very grateful, crushed the Thunderbolts and the Vengeurs of the Big lakes. It was going to kill them when Opale succeeds in convincing it that its capacity and its ambition were nothing if it avt not goal. Humiliated, Graviton flees to think of it.

It remade soon surface, by proclaiming lord of Sky Island, an island which it made léviter. It recruited subjects and a harem and started to plunder San Fransisco. Angel and the Thunderbolts tried to stop it but were overcome. They were saved by Jolt, and the technology of Machine Man, which cancelled the equation of gravity. Finally, the Thunderbolts deprived Hall of its formidable capacity and again made it collapse on itself. Graviton lands again in another dimension.

There, Hall was saved by a mysterious foreigner, P' Tah named Me Real. Both found the Earth, and Hall engaged Opale to help it to redefine its project and its ego. Opal handled it and it embarked in the insane idea to capture all the capitals, to immobilize the heroes and to refashion the world with its image. He faced and eliminated the substitutes from the Thunderbolts, the Redeemers, except the Fixer, which rejoinit Opale and Hall.

Citizen V and the remainder of the Thunderbolts attacked it and Hall was seriously wounded. At this time, Fixr discovered that Me Real the energy of Graviton channeled to send it in its dimension. The team pushed back the invasion P' Tah and Graviton, dying, saved Thunderbolts.

He survived however and found himself captive of the Raft. At the time of the escape caused by Electro, it attacked the Avengers but was almost killed by Iron Man.

Capacities
