Graver

The graver is a consistent tool in a grief or rectangular tempered steel stem and inserted in a handle in the mushroom shape. The end is divided obliquely and points it carefully sharpened is able to dig a furrow in a metal plate.

The graver is one of the principal instruments used in Taille-douce to carry out engravings with the line. This term also indicates the plate engraved with the graver as well as the impressions which of it are drawn. The graver is also used in masonry to break matter, for the tile-layers as well as the mechanics.
