Grant Fox
Grant Fox , born the June 6th 1962 with New Plymouth, is a player of Rugby New Zealand, evolving/moving at the station of half of opening.
Its beginnings with the Blacks are not easy, having to fight against Wayne Smith then Frano Botica to impose itself with Blacks. But, its important rate of success in the kicks installs it as a holder for the first World cup of Rugby 1987, cut which it gains against the France, marking a test with the passage.
It does not have qualities of sense of smell and runner of its Botica rival, and its lack of tests make a criticized and discussed player of it, but its fabulous rate of success, guaranteeing a great number of points to its team, enables him to be maintained at Blacks with which it will finish its career in 1993. At the time of this one, it held the record of points marked by an international New Zealander, record which will be beaten later by Andrew Mehrtens.
After its career, it remained in the world of Rugby, carrying out sporting comments for television. It also belonged to the team of trainers of the province of Auckland in the New Zealand championship or of the frankness from the Auckland Blues, thus taking part in the victory of those in the Super 12 2003.
