This locality was during the ages the object of confusions and plunderings of all kinds and each rebuilt time.
At the end of the First World War, French and Allied bombard without mercy the whole of the village as well as the field of the Counts de Joyeuse where the invader was, Uhlans. The Castle, which had been altered by Georges Babled at the end XIXe, had to be entirely rebuilt. The monumental Door (1618) destroyed with 60% could be renovated and find its former aspect.
