Grand Prix of the book of Montreal
The literary Grand Prix of the Town of Montreal was a price Québécois which was created in 1965 on the initiative of the Council of arts of the metropolitan region of Montreal (since January 2002, named the Council of arts of Montreal). It was reconstituted in 1987 under the name of Grand Prix of the book of Montreal
It has as criteria of admissibility: Any work of French language or English (of creation, analysis, compilation or literary, artistic or sociohistoric reference), published for the first time enters and by an author or an editor domiciled on the territory of Montreal, is acceptable.
