Grammar of civilizations
Grammaire of civilizations is a book of Fernand Braudel published in 1987 with the editions Arthaud and in 1993, at Flammarion. It takes again the principal part of the handbook of history Le Monde current, history and civilization published in 1963.
Fernand Braudel presents successively the ages of Islam, the Black Africa, of the Far East, and the Occident. The author outlines their history in a dimension geographical, social, economic and ideological.
