Governor of Queensland

The Gouverneur of Queensland is the representative, on the level of the Queensland, of the Head of the State, the queen of Australia, Elisabeth II. He plays the same part on the level of Queensland as the general governor on the level of Australia.

According to conventions of the System of Westminster, the governor acts almost only on the councils of the " Prime Minister for Queensland" (the " First off Queensland"). Nevertheless, the governor has a " right of réserve" (the " reserve powers off the Crown") and the right has to relieve the Prime Minister.

The governor has like residence since 1910 " Government House" with Brisbane. It is about a castle in a park of 14 hectares in the district of Paddington.
