Governor
The governor is the person who has the military government; or which is charged to control a Province, a State, a colony, a Institution; or which has at the same time civil and military government.

In a Federal state, it controls in the name of the central capacity; and in a colony, in the name of the Metropolis. In this last case, a General governor is the governor of a large colony or a group of colonies. In the countries of the the Commonwealth, the General governor plays the part of representative of the British Couronne.

Gouverneur is also the usual translation, in the media and the French-speaking press, of the German term Landeshauptmann , which appoints the chief of the Gouvernement of each of the nine Länder (federate States) Austrian. Some people wrongly translate for this term by “Prime Minister”.

the title of governor can be allotted to a senior official named by the State with the head of certain important financial institutions, like the Banque de France.

In the curricular area, the governor or the controlling is in charge of education with a prince or certain young people boys or young girls of big family.
