Government Armand of Plessis de Richelieu (1)
Named by the king Louis XVIII the September 26th 1815 to replace the ministry Talleyrand, this government will find its end three years later on bottom of intrigues. Trying in vain a bringing together with the line ultra, the duke of Richelieu loses the confidence of part of the center and enters in open competition with its Minister for the police force Élie Decazes, which approaches the Doctrinaires. The crisis reaches its paroxysm the December 21st 1818, where Richelieu presents its resignation to the king with the ministers who remained to him faithful. Invited the December 23rd to form a new government, Richelieu that point does not reach and presents once again its resignation the December 26th. The December 29th, a new ministry is then formed under the nominal presidency of the general Dessolle.
