Governed Obadia

Régis Obadia is a dancer and French contemporary choreographer born with Oran (Algérie) in 1958.

Biography

During more than fifteen years it formed with Joelle Bouvier an indissociable, creative duet of choreographies impossible to circumvent of the Nouvelle French dance. Régis Obadia creates with Joelle Bouvier the company the Draft in 1980. It will be the beginning of an adventure and a fusional collaboration during more than fifteen years. Bouvier Obadia becomes a bicephalous being which will produce seventeen choreographies until 1998. They will direct together the national choreographic Center of the Havre of 1986 to 1992 when it will allow the blossoming of choreographers like Francesca Lattuada and Héla Fattoumi - Eric Lamoureux, then the National center of contemporary dance (CNDC) of Angers the Draft of 1993 to 1998.

Separation Bouvier Obadia goes back to 1998 and Régis Obadia continues since its personal work within its own company.
