The ornithologist Xavier Raspail (1840-1926) lived in Gouvieux, commune concerned with his principal publication: " An ornithological Station in Oise. France , 1905,18: 32-200.

The Swiss writer Charles-Albert Cingria (1883-1954) located at Gouvieux of the passages of several of his works, in particular Graffiti (1941), River navigation (1942) and, especially, the Camp of César (1945).
