Goulash

The goulash or goulache (of the Hungarian gulyás (soup of the shepherd in france), cowherd) is a Hungarian speciality Europe Central, very appreciated and spread in countries bordering: Tchèquie, Austria, Slovakia, etc

Daily traditional dish of Hungary, it is a Soupe (or rather a ragout) of meat prepared with many Oignon S and Paprika. It thus has a very recognizable red color. The meats used include/understand ox, calf, pig, horse, lamb or sheep, and several meats can be combined. The goulash can be raised of Cumin and garlic.

In spite of the evolution of the dietary habits, one still finds it in all the restaurants, even smartest, of Hungary.

Another receipt, decorated haricot beans, is called babgulyás .

Other expressions

  • the Communisme of the goulash indicates the socialism applied in Hungary of 1962 to 1989.
  • the bridge goulash is a kind of bridge where the charts are mixed in order to obtain with strongly irregular distribution, for example of the strongly unicoloured hands.
