Gotthard Kettler
Gotthard Kettler , Duke of Courlande and Sémigalle, born in 1517 undoubtedly with the Eggeringhausen castle close to Soest in Westphalia, and dead the May 17th 1587 with Mittau, is the last large-Master about the Chevaliers carry-swords in Livonie. Following the Pact of Wilno, it becomes the first duke of Courlande and Sémigalle after its conversion with the religion Lutheran and the Sécularisation of the grounds of the order.
