Play

World

The world of Gothic III includes/understands 3 areas:

Character

Contrary to much of Roleplays, in Gothic, one chooses neither his character nor his class. The character is a man which one is unaware of the name. With the fur with measurements of combat and searches one gains points of experiments (XP). When a threshold of points of XP is crossed, one progresses of a level and gains 10 points of training. These points of training make it possible, near Masters, to increase the characteristics of the character or to learn from new competences.

Characteristics: Force, Chasse, Savoir of old, Forge, Vol and Alchemy.

Group competences: Fights, Chasse, Magie, Forge, Voleur, Alchimie and Others

Reputation

The play integrates an interesting option, that of the reputation. Thus, to advance with the wire of the play and to thus reach private zones, it will be necessary for you to gain in reputation near the various people present in the play. It should be noted that an ill deed can generate fatal consequences on the relations with the people for which you work (thus, if you fly of the goods to the orcs for example, those will inflict to you to begin a good lesson then that will pass to the setting to dead).

Engagements

The combat are particularly interesting for several reasons: Initially they are realistic contrary to its competitors one needs a supposed number of blow before dying, take Oblivion it is necessary about fifteen it if one is human before dying what is foolish, in gothic 3 approximately 5 wound received from orc and side! It is death, it should be noted that one does not die also quickly or slowly according to the creature which attacks. Thus at the beginning of the play it will be easy to kill five orcs without too much difficulty whereas a wolf can has all alone to gain to him against you. Another thing which makes the combat realistic: As in Oblivion one draws its weapon of the sleeve and one gives the blows with the mouse (click left by defects) and one tries to be protected with the right click, in this way it is really the player who is good and not that the weapon. On the other hand in Oblivion the character cannot transport any more weight which its force allows him, in Gothic there is no limit….a little ridiculous.

Realism

Gothic 3 is a very realistic roleplay because contrary to the other plays or it is only possible to discuss with the other characters gothic 3 makes it possible to attack his friends or quite simply to kill them. Each action to carry out will have one impacts on the course of the adventure. It is possible to destroy a village, to as many drive out… elements which make the pleasure of play.
