Gossi

Gossi is a city of Mali, in the circle of Gourma-Rharous in the area of Tombouctou, located at 160 km in the south-west of Gao. The commune of Gossi includes/understands approximately 10.000 inhabitants.

Gossi is a wandering cattle-breeding area. Each Sunday, there are a significant market with the animals, mainly dromedaries. Since 1987, a nun doctor installed there a single hospital for nomads in Mali: the nomads can install there their tent for the duration of the care.
