Gospel of Pierre

The Évangile of Pierre is a text apocryphal book, allotted to Saint Pierre, but written by one or more unknown, subsequently to the canonical Gospels (IIe century).

According to Eusèbe de Césarée, Sérapion, bishop of Antioche at the end of the 2nd century this text like heretic because of his tendencies docetist condemned.

It is not that during the 1886-87 qu winter' a fragment of this Gospel was found in the tomb of a monk, at the time of archaeological excavations on the site of Akhim in High-Egypt. This fragment contains an account of the lawsuit, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. The culpability of the Jews compared to Pontius Pilate is accentuated there, already significant evolution in the chronological continuation of the canonical Gospels (Marc, then Mathieu and Luc, and finally Jean).

At the time of the crucifixion, the precision “it was quiet, as if it did not suffer…” could be interpreted like gasoline docetist.
