Gorleben

Gorleben is a small municipality located at the extreme North-East of the Lower Saxony, in Germany. Gorleben is directly on left bank of the Elba to approximately 20 meters of altitude. The village of Gorleben has approximately 900 inhabitants. The village is known for the project of Stockage of the radioactive waste in deep geological layer.
