Gordon Warnecke

Gordon Warnecke is a British actor, born in 1963.

It is known mainly for its role of Omar in the film-worship of Stephen Frears, My Beautiful Laundrette left in 1985, in which it divides the poster with Daniel Day-Lewis.

Other roles enamelled its career, but none enabled him to reach the international audience of My Beautiful Laundrette . One can however quote an appearance in a film of Franco Zeffirelli, Toscanini in 1988, on the life of the famous Italian leader Arturo Toscanini and an appearance in film of Hanif Kureishi London Kills Me in 1991.

The remainder of its career consists especially of sporadic appearances in television programs British (in particular in the series Doctor Who or EastEnders ) or with the theater, where it held of the roles with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal Short Theater.

It should be noted that one meets Gordon Warnecke in documentary German You ace of beautiful eyes, cherished of Andre Schäfer, who tells 30 years of homosexuality to the cinema, and in which Gordon intervenes compared to his role of Omar in My Beautiful Laundrette .
