Gordon Bunshaft
Gordon Bunshaft was born the May 9th 1909 and died the August 6th 1990. Celebrate American Architecte 20th century inspired by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Le Corbusier, it began its career in 1937 with Louis Skidmore with New York.
Its career is stopped in 1939 with the war. It begins again in 1946 in the company " Skidmore, Owings and Merill" , known today under the initial ones of SOM.
It builds in 1952 the “Rising House”, a Gratte-ciel of 21 stage with New York. It is the first Gratte-ciel of Manhattan which is primarily made up of glass, whereas these neighbors are composed of stone. For this realization, it received the price Prix Pritzker in 1988.

- in 1974, the “Hirshhorn Museum”, a circular building and museum of Washington
- in 1983, it “ Commercial national Bank” with Djeddah in Saudi Arabia (turn of 27 stages and 122 meters in height)
It also contributed to the development of the American consulate in Germany.
