Gordon B. Hinckley
Gordon B. Hinckley (1910-) is the 15th president of the Église of Jesus-Christ of the Saints of the Last Days since 1995. Like its predecessors, it has the title of prophet.
Studies and mission
Gordon B. Hinckley made its studies in Salt Lake City and was graduate university of Utah in 1932, after which it achieved a mission in Great Britain during two years for the Church of Jesus-Christ of the Saints of the Last Days.
Course in the Church of Jesus-Christ of the Saints of the Last Days
After its mission, Gordon B. Hinckley called by the president of the Church of the time, Heber J. Grant, to organize what became the program of the public communications of the Church. It directed the department of the communication of the Church during twenty years. From 1951 to 1958, it directed all the program missionary of the Church. It was assisting Twelve apostles of 1958 to 1961, member of the College of the Twelve of 1961 to 1981 and adviser in the First Presidency of 1981 to 1995. He is president of the Church since 1995.
