Gordie Roberts
Gordon " Gordie" Roberts (born on October 2nd, 1957 with Strait in the Michigan) was a defender of Hockey of the National league of hockey between 1979 and 1994.
Career in club
Roberts began its career within the Cougars of Victoria of the league of hockey of Canada of the West in 1974. It will spend only one season in the league before joining the Worldwide association of hockey (AMH) and the Whalers of New England at which it will remain for a few seasons (up to 1981, whereas the frankness then forms part of the National league of hockey and names now the Whalers de Hartford).It decided to continue to play in the AMH whereas during the Repêchage amateur of the LNH 1977, the Canadian of Montreal chose it in third round (54e choice).
End 1981, Roberts joined the North Stars of Minnesota and will remain eight seasons there before the Saison LNH 1987-88 where Roberts plays for three different franknesses in the same year (North Stars, the Flyers of Philadelphia and the Blues of Saint-Louis.
During the Saison LNH 1990-91 it joined the Penguins de Pittsburgh with which it will gain two Coupes Stanley in 1991 and 1992.
After that, it partire for Boston and the Bruins for which he will play two seasons before going to play two additional seasons in the international league of hockey.
After that, it hangs up again the shoes and will make a return in the LNH while being the assistant of the trainer of the Coyotes of Phoenix of 1997 to 1999.
He is at present depistor for the Canadian of Montreal.
