Google Toolbar
The bars tools of Google (" Google Toolbar "), created by Google, is an optional object for two of the principal Web navigators: it is either a extension for Firefox, or a Plugin for Internet Explorer. It contains a field of filling which makes it possible to launch a research on Internet, either in traditional research or in research in the images, current events… It can block the intruding Fenêtres, post the PageRank page, check the orthography and also automatically translate in the window of assistance of the pointer the words flown over of English towards another language.
Initially, this extension is available only for Internet Explorer. Independent developers, without affiliation at Google, launch the project Open Source " Googlebar" , intended to be the equivalent for Firefox of Google Toolbar. The July 8th 2005, Google launches an official version of the Google Toolbar, for the Firefox navigator.
The Google Toolbar communicates at Google the URL visited, which makes it possible to also index masked pages be-saying: those made more confidential by their creator by referring them nowhere. This standard technique of dissimulation is thus put in failure at the advantage of the researchers on Google which have more exhaustive results. This functionality is sometimes décriée because it perceived like a tool informer.
