Goldegg

Goldegg is a small village which is on the Sunny Terrace of Salzburg (Land of Salzburg) to 60 km of the town of Salzburg in the district of St Johann im Pongau. On a surface of 33,1 square kilometers approximately 2200 inhabitants live.

Culture

The castle, which was built at the 14th century is today a center of culture presenting many events such as concerts of any types, exposures of regional and international artists, readings, spectacles of cabaret, plays… The village also has a museum which exposes a large collection of Céramique S, tools of craftsmen as well as folk costumes and pieces of furniture rustic. All the parts of exposure are in connection with the history of Goldegg.

Sports and leisures

Many excursions are possible in the area, making it possible to benefit from idyllic landscapes while swimming in the two marshy lakes. The amateurs of Golf can find themselves in Golfclub Goldegg to traverse the greens between the high mountains and the small lakes.

In winter, Goldegg offers a network of tracks of Ski touring (60 km in all) of the Sunny Terrace connects St Veit and Schwarzach (two villages in the vicinity) to Goldegg. This network finds there its apogee in the course which girdles the cold lake. It is also possible to make Patinage on the lake, of the Alpine skiing or the excursions with guided racket S.
