Gold mount (Doubs)
The Mont of Gold is the culminating point of the department Doubs (Massif of the Jura) in Franche-Comté, a few kilometres from Pontarlier and border Suisse, with 1463 m of altitude.
Winter sports resort
The Gold mount is attached to the commune and more important Winter sports resort of the High Doubs of Métabief, a station made up of 6 villages to the foot of the Mount with a field of:- 40 km of track of downhill skiing uninterrupted between 900 and 1420 m of altitude, 2 black tracks, 11 reds, 8 blue and 5 green all connected between them

120 km of track of Ski touring on the passage of the Great Crossing of the Jura (GTJ), a route of ski touring of approximately 200 km of tracks traced, marked out, carefully maintained to furrow the Massive of the Jura, north in the south

Gastronomy

It gave its name to a traditional Fromage seasonal AOC containing Cow's milk of altitude, the Vacherin Mont-d'or cheese, inhabitant of Franche-Comté and Suisse since the 19th century.
