Synopsis

Youssef Soltane, a 45 year old intellectual, is the pure one produced of a generation which knew the euphoric periods of the great ideologies of the Années 1960 and also their collective bankruptcy. Youssef was imprisoned a long time and tortured for its activities of political opponent. Its tumultuous with Zineb, young person and beautiful connection middle-class, which made him discover the love and point of disjunction and hidden at the time of its clandestine activities had it, is worth nothing any more but vexations to him. A few months after its coming out of prison, his repudiated wife, Fatma, died, leaving the three children to the guard of their grandmother. During this long night of winter, that of the festival of the Achoura, Youssef will wander in the search of an emotional refuge, of a tenderness, in prey with all the interrogations which shake its memory.
