The Gold Cup is a competition of Football organized by CONCACAF since 1991.
Certain national selections (the United States, Mexico and Canada) are described as office for the final stage of the test, while the formations of Central America and the the Antilles must pass by phases of qualification. This phase of qualification in the Central America corresponds now to the Coupe UNCAF of the Nations. This phase of qualification in the Antilles corresponds now to the Coupe of Caribbean the.
This continental competition also offers invitations to teams of other confederations, which explains the presence of the Colombia and the Brésil in certain finales. In 2005 for example, the guests were the South Africa and the Colombia.
