Gojira

Gojira , is a group of Death metal French formed with Ondres (Landes) in 1996. The words of Gojira have like main subject the life and death, spirituality and environmental protection. The name of the group is the Japanese translation of Godzilla, which was also the old name of the group before that Ci must change it for problems of royalty. Their music approaches certain groups like Morbid Angel, Tool, Meshuggah or Death.

Their last album in date, From Mars to Sirius, was the object, like their DVD " The Link Alive" , of an exit on the other side of the Atlantic. Gojira played many festivals during all of summer (of which Download Festival), played Bercy the November 7th 2006 (for Unholy Alliance Tower, head of poster: Slayer) after a long French round of more than 100 dates, an English round in October, and returned from a round marathon to the the United States (with Lamb Off God, Machine Head and Trivium) and to Canada in April 2007.

New a one month round to the the United States is announced, it acts this time Ci of the Radio operator Rebellion Tower with Job for has Cowboy, Behemoth and Beneath the Massacre. This one will be held from October 18th to November 18th, 2007 through all the country, for a show per day.

Joe took part in a piece of the group Toulousain Manimal, entitled Dead Meat, on their album Eros and Thanatos. He makes an appearance on this famous piece during the recording of the DVD Live of Manimal which will leave soon.

He also took part in a piece which will be present in the American limited edition of the last album of Apocalyptica, Worlds Collide, whose exit in addition to handle is envisaged in the current of the end of the year.

According to a rumor, it seems propagated by Jean-Michel the bass player of the group, the next album to probably leave at the end of 2008 would be more melody than the precedents.

Joseph duplantier makes party of the project of the brothers Cavalera (Sepultura, Soulfly) named " Cavalera Conspiracy". He belongs to the formation, but he will not ensure in theory the concerts of the known as group.
