Gods of Tyrie

This article describes the various beliefs and divinities in the fictitious universe of the Video game Guild Wars. Several of these principles have a direct influence on the play, its environment and its mechanisms.

Gods of the Human ones

Although there exist some local religions, the majority of the human kingdoms of Tyrie, Cantha and Elona venerate the same Pantheon of gods.

Former Gods

These gods reigned a long time on the world before withdrawing themselves in the Îles of Fire . They hid their secrecies besides there before leaving the world. But they always observe Tyrie, in particular the engagements between mortals for the control of the the Pantheon of the Heroes . It is not rare that they grant their favor when players were characterized by their achievements concerned (obtaining titles at the maximum level).

Abaddon is 6th God, now forgotten of Tyrie, formerly divinity of water and the knowledge. Abaddon spread terror and dead on Tyrie by giving the magic to the men. Margonites, its most enthusiastic followers, took the control of the temple of the 6 gods, then were given like objective to embank the 5 other gods, so that only Abaddon can reign. The Twilight
The Twilight announces the end of humanity, when Abaddon is of return and that the Major Gods will be close to the anguish. Margonites await the sign of Abaddon to launch the process of Twilight.

Kormir

Gods of the Dwarves

The Large Dwarf

Beliefs of Norns

Beliefs of Ensured

The Asuras do not venerate non-plus the gods of the men even if they are shown very intrigued by their existence. Beliefs of Sylvari
