Gododdin
The Gododdin (to pronounce Godozin' ) was one of the Breton kingdoms of the north of the island of Brittany (Northumbrie), in the north of the Mur of Antonin, which had been constituted after the departure of the Roman troops.
Y Gododdin is an account of the bards Aneurin on a defeat of the Manaw Gododdin , kingdom depend on the precedent, whose capital was Caer Eiddyn (Edinburgh), in front of the Saxon invaders of Bernicie and Deira, around Catterick (Yorkshire), about the year 600. It is undoubtedly the oldest text of the Welsh literature . The oldest version of the manuscript dates from XIIIe century.
