Godefroy d\' Aerschot
Godefroy of the Brabant , killed with Courtrai the July 11th 1302, was lord of Aerschot of 1284 with 1302 and of Vierzon of 1277 with 1302. It was wire of Henri III, duke of the Brabant, and Adelaide of Burgundy.
Biography
He showed as skilful warrior and policy as his brother Jean Ier, duke of the Brabant. He assisted it in the majority of his companies. The October 29th 1284, granted to him in prerogative the seigniory of Aerschot. Godefroy was distinguished at the sides from his/her brother to the Bataille from Worringen in 1288, and it was him which captured Renaud Ier de Gueldre.
In 1292, it intervened in the quarrels between the king de France and the counts de Flandre and of Hainaut, succeeding in making them conclude a peace. With died of his/her brother, disorders threatened to burst in the Brabant, and Godefroy supported its nephew Henri II against the insurrectionists. He assisted his nephew, and concludes from peaces with the neighbors of the Brabant.
In 1302, the Flanders revolted against Philippe IV Beautiful the, and Godefroy and its son rejoinrent the Flemish army to fight the French. Although the battles of Courtrai was a Flemish victory, the father and the son were killed hanging the engagements. Its goods were divided between his/her four daughters.

He had married in 1277, Jeanne Isabeau († av.1296), lady of Vierzon, girl of Herve IV, lord of Vierzon, and Jeanne de Brenne, and had had:

- Elisabeth († 1350), married in 1304 with Gerard V († 1328), count de Juliers

- White († 1329), married to Jean Berthout († 1304), lord the Malignant ones, then with 1307 Jean Ier († 1332), Viscount of Thouars
- Marguerite, nun with Longchamps, close to Paris, died after 1318
- Jeanne, nun with Longchamps, close to Paris, died after 1318
